(AUDIO) K12NN Talks to Sabrina Stevens-Shupe About the Save Our Schools March & Conference

Save Our Schools March and National Call to Action organizers are a dedicated, passionate bunch. What else would compel thousands of parents, teachers, students, administrators, and plain old members of communities across America who care about public schools to converge on Washington, DC in late July?

Some of the confirmed speakers are noted education activists who care deeply and have devoted their lives to the betterment of public education in America. Others are new teachers or parents of kids who are just entering the system, or who have yet to send a child to school. And still others, celebrities like Jon Stewart or Matt Damon or Richard Dreyfuss, had parents who were teachers and understand it’s more art than science and just how powerful that art can be in shaping a child’s life.
