This is great–The VIVA Project met with the head of the Department of Education in December, 2010 (DOE blog post about the meeting here). These teachers from around the country want to raise their voices and be heard in education reform efforts.
I’d love to see the authentic voices of grassroots parents have a voice in education reform too.

Which ideas are being considered as presented by the VIVA Project teachers? One meeting is only a beginning, perhaps an important one. What is next? Will the dialogue continue?
I worked in the Chicago Public Schools for over 35 years as a teacher for 30 of those years.
