




Vet the Supe, along with other grassroots organizations, has called for the search process for new Superintendent of LAUSD to be an open and transparent one. While grasstops groups like the United Way, Urban League, and other non-profits aligned with Eli Broad demand access to a search committee, real on-the-ground teachers union members, parents, and community supporters of public schools have plenty to say about who the LAUSD School Board should select and what the priorities of the district should be. And these true grassroots people should be at the table too.
The search firm retained to find the new Superintendent has responded with a survey to collect community priorities for LAUSD’s new chief, and will be holding multiple town halls to gather input. Here’s what one Angeleno said in her response to the survey.
