To the GOP presidential candidates, public education is simply a vehicle for spreading liberal ideas. Funny, I thought our system of public schools is a wonderful way to learn about the ideals that made this country great, the many trials and difficulties folks from the Founding Fathers on have endured to make the American Dream a reality, and a place where generations of American schoolkids learned what they needed to know to out-invent, out-collaborate, and out-imagine the rest of the world.
